Mia's 5th Birthday Party

We celebrated Mia's 5th Birthday today!  We had a fabulous party with her friends and family that drove from Oklahoma, Wichita and Hutchinson! Her theme was My Little Pony. All she asked for for her birthday was a pony so the best we could come up with was horse rides at the party! Huge hit!  We also had barrel train rides which were also a favorite, stick horse races, gator rides, cake and opening presents!

In case you don't know, Mia was adopted 5 yrs ago at birth.  Emotions still run high 5 yrs later and I think always will.  It was an emotional road up to the day after Mia was born.  The day Mia was born I totally believe God Shined Down on us, opened His arms and said here you are. What a blessing! It was so worth the wait and I can't imagine our family without her.
A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to Jade Elizabeth Weber and Preston Reed Olvera.  These two changed our lives with their selfless act and we couldn't be more thankful.  And being Thankful is not enough.  We continue to pray daily for your peace, comfort and blessing.  Preston we miss you and so wish you were here to see Mia today.

Here are some (ok, a lot) of pics from the day!

Testing out the barrel train!
Or as Hadley called it, The Roller Coaster!

The Food Bank Donation Bag - This bag was FULL by the end of the party! We are so thankful to all Mia's friends that helped us by bringing a food item instead of a gift to help out the local food bank! We can't wait to deliver!

Ready to Party! When are the guests going to be here??????

Just out of the Blue this morning, Mia says to me:
You're the best Mom I could ask for!

That is the best thing an adoptive mom could ever hear! Now, I know those words might change once we hit the teenage yrs, but for now, I will savor them!

She got a cool Birthday Crown from her teacher at school!

Happy 5th Birthday Mia! We Love you!
