Playdate

Mia has her 1st playdate today.  Happy and Sad day for Momma!  How can my girl be that old!! She told me while we were getting her ready to go: Momma - it's my 1st playdate!!  She was so excited! Thanks Ali for asking!!  Thanks for the pictures Katie!

How is your baby?

I was so proud of Hadley this past Sunday! Our friend Ani is pregnant, which we are super excited about, and Hadley asked her at church "How is your baby"  All by herself!! Way to go Hadley! Your such a smarty pants!! :)

67 Years

These two just celebrated 67 yrs together! That's something to be proud of!  

They are my grandparents Ernest and Jennie Oller! 

My grandparents are the best you could ask for! My grandad is an ornery as ever and grandma is the sweetest lady you ever met. My grandma taught me to cook and sew.  My grandad taught me to garden.  They didn't miss an event when I was growing up and took all of their grandkids on a trip when we were 7th grade or so.  I got to go to Niagra Falls with them.  That was a fun trip and I have lots of memories from it.  I used to spend a week every summer with them in Dodge City.  One of our favorite things to do was go garage saleing! We always found some treasures!! I have memories that overflow with these two that I am so incredibly thankful for.  These days they spend their time in the resthome.  God Bless them for teaching me all the things they did and for the time they spent with me. I think the world of them!



Date Nite!

The girls are in OK this week with Noni and Popi. We called tonight to talk to them and had this conversation with Mia:

Me: Guess What?!

Mia: What?

Me: Daddy and I are on a date!

Mia: Mommy, Daddy can love you but only I can date him (with the most serious voice)

HAPPY EASTER!

We got EGGED!!

We got Egged by the Crisps!! If you don't know what that is, they came to our house unknown to us, hid about 12 eggs in our yard, put a sign our our door and rang the door bell! They hung around so we could see them but we thought it was SUPER FUN and enjoyed the visit! Now, it was our turn to EGG someone.  So we packed up the eggs, headed to town and EGGED the Deda's! I happen to know they passed it on too!

Memaw also got the girls Kite's for Easter!  Saturday had the perfect wind to get them up!

Another Idea from PINTEREST! Bury jelly beans and the next morning these appear!!  A little Easter Magic! The girls thought it was AWESOME. Pics of the next morning, up next!

Easter 2012 - Dying Eggs

In case you didn't know, I LOVE PINTEREST!!! Used 1 pkt of Kool-Aid and 2/3 cups of water and wahla - you have dyed Easter Eggs!  So in case you saw it and were wondering - YES! IT WORKS!

Karen and Gerdie stopped by for a visit after we got our eggs done! Always good to see them!

Memaw got us this egg for Easter. It had seeds in it and we had to water it.  About 7 days later we had little seedling pop up! We are still watering to see what they turn into!
