If you know me, you know I have a love for 4-H. Some of the best days of my growing up were spent as a 4-Her and I believe 4-H helped me to be the person I am today - good or bad! So needless to say I cannot wait to get my girls in 4-H! Well, in the state of KS you can't be a 4-Her until you turn 7. Yes, 7!! That's a long time! There is a Clover Bud program for kids starting at 5 but the local extension agents have pretty much threatened my life if I start that. I'm thinking 5 is a long time to wait too! So..... I have developed my own personal program for my girls........
Clover Budette's! I am so excited about this! Call me crazy but I have even started the Personal Record for them! What better way to keep track of their activities and milestones! I really am trying to convince Adam that Mia needs a bucket calf in open class this summer. I don't quite have him on the same page yet. But I do have him on the same page for our first project as the Clover Budette's:
Adopt A County Road! I was out running one night on our road when I came upon Adam and the girls doing this.
I was so excited to see them doing this and at that exact time Clover Budette's was born! My heart was exploding with pride that as a family we can do something together to help care for our land. Projects are just running through my head and I can't wait to teach my girls the things I know and learn new things together!
I know 7 seems like a long way off but as a mom who will have a 7 year old this summer. It goes by quick. Cute project though!
