Telling our Story

We think we have quite a story tell about how God's Mighty Hand has worked in our life.  That pertains to our kids and how they came about! Usually once or twice a year we get to tell our story at the Catholic Social Service Adoption Panel. This is where couples like us that have been thru the Open Adoption process tell our story with our Birth Mother, Jade. The couples that have gone thru the Open Adoption Classes and are getting ready to make their profiles are the audience and able to ask questions.  It's a great resource for them. I remember clearly the day we attended the panel when our friends Matt and Marsha told their story and at that moment I saw HOPE! And that is just what I want to give these couples now!  HOPE!  It's such an agonizing wait. And at times it seems hopeless.  We are so Thankful that Catholic Social Service asks us to tell our story! We have made some great friendships along this amazing journey and there are about 3 of us now that do the panel together. I just love going and getting together with them and seeing our kids make friendships.  These will be such important friendships as our kids grow.

Here are some photo's from the day.  It was a great day. Got to spend it with my girls, do a little shopping, share our story, spend time with Jade and the friends we've made along this amazing journey and see the wonderful people at Catholic Social Services. We did a little shopping at the Village Square Mall.  I did my school shopping at this mall almost every year growing up.  I also remember going to this mall with my Grandparents when I would go stay with them in Dodge City. I spent a lot of time around this same fountain throwing penny's in! Lots of memories there in that mall!

For the Record - I did not purposely buy my children XL Icee's!! Little do I know when I orders 2 smalls this is what I would get!! These are smalls!!  Oh well, the girls thought they were in heaven!
